ECTs
Calling all ECTs!
Fareham Academy is a great place to work, and by joining us here as an ECT we will support you to flourish throughout your first two years of teaching and beyond.
The ECT designed induction programme provides ECTs with essential training and skills at a crucial time in your development, with opportunities to reinforce key subject knowledge areas and to reflect with peers. By the end of the two years, you will have a solid foundation in running effective classrooms and embedding positive behaviours for learning.
Supporting & Developing ECTs
Supporting and developing Early Career Teachers in their first two years of teaching is hugely important. Our ECT Training Programme is developed to reinforce key subject knowledge areas, as well as provide informal links and support throughout the years. We aim to help you develop highly skilled reflective practices for the future. The programme provides ECTs with an opportunity to regularly reflect on their practice with peers and to integrate further ideas and approaches to develop their teaching.
We will provide:
-
The necessary employment tasks, experience and support to enable you to demonstrate satisfactory performance against the relevant standards throughout and by the end of the induction period
-
A suitable monitoring and support programme, personalised to meet your professional development needs
-
Observations of experienced teachers either in the school or at another school where effective practice has been identified
-
A reduced timetable to enable you to undertake activities in your induction programme
-
Assurance that you will regularly teach the same class(es) with similar planning, teaching and assessment processes to those in which other teachers working in similar substantive posts at the school are engaged.
If you are currently a trainee teacher in English, Maths and Science, we would always be happy to hear from you by submitting an application form above to Mrs Payne at g.payne@fareham-academy.co.uk.
