Mrs Bye runs a young carers group on a Monday after school in Student Support Services.

Students identified as being a young carer can attend the group weekly to meet with peers who are also a young carer. Here they can play games, socialise and do other activities.

​

Our Young Carers Club aims to give students a place to get information, advice and support as well as a place to have fun and join in with fun activities such as:

• Arts and crafts

• Cooking

• Music

• Dancing

​

The Young Carers Club at Fareham Academy is supported by the national charity Kids. One of our Year 11 students who attended young carers has even delivered assemblies to students about being a young carer.
